Green professionalism, green education and green didactics

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?

The purpose of the project is to:

1) give students the skills to understand and work with the green transition.

2) provide teachers with subject-specific and didactic competencies to be able to develop PBL in collaboration with companies

WHO IS BEHIND?

The project is developed and run in collaboration with Aarhus TEC, Roskilde Technical School and the National Center for Vocational Education.

WHICH COURSES ARE PARTICIPATING?

The following programs from Techcollege participate:

• Computer education

• Carpentry training

THE PROJECT IN NUMBERS

Total project budget: DKK 7,995,652.

Techcollege's total budget: DKK 1,374,328. *Of which self-financing: DKK 74,000.

Project period: 01.01.2025– 31.12.2027

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?

In phase 1, which applies in 2025, there are the following activities:

• Establishment of the project's overall green partnership, consisting of project schools and, for example, professional committees, representatives from the industry and knowledge partners.

• Development of a questionnaire and then a detailed investigation and identification of needs and wishes from the education systems, both at management and teacher level, so that we ensure a well-thought-out effort with strong support from the schools. (What do the teachers know and what do they need?)

• Joint planning of the subject-specific upskilling in phase 2 and the Green Learning Factory, which will be carried out during phase 3. The green partnership defines in phase 1 which knowledge goals and competencies must be achieved by all participants in phases 2 and 3 and refers to suitable courses with knowledge centers, etc.

• The schools' employees are informed and onboarded internally and the Learning Factory is scheduled for the participating employees.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?

The project's goal is for students to gain the skills needed to contribute to the green transition when they complete their education.
