What is HTX?
HTX is the technical high school where you work with natural sciences and technology. You have subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and technology, where you learn to understand how the world is interconnected and how knowledge can be used to develop solutions.
You learn in a way that emphasizes idea development and projects. You use your scientific knowledge when you investigate, build and test, and you don't need to know it beforehand. The most important thing is that you are curious and want to understand how ideas arise and become solutions.
Here you will receive a high school diploma where the teaching feels concrete and relevant, and where you can use your knowledge in many ways later in life.
Student life at HTX
At HTX you become part of an environment where it is easy to fit in. You quickly get to know your class, and a community is created around both the teaching and the traditions that come with it.
Everyday life alternates between classroom teaching, project work, and periods where you work in groups – and the teachers are good at making the material accessible and relevant.
There are events throughout the year that bind students together and make high school years something you look back on with great joy.

Fields of study
In the Emergency Preparedness Program, you work with biotechnology, sports and emergency-related themes. The teaching is active and realistic, and you gain insight into the work of the police, defense and fire departments through collaboration, cases and exercises. It is a field of study for those who want to immerse themselves in the body, health and emergency preparedness – and who thrive in an environment with physical activity and strong community.
In Biotechnology, you work on how biology and chemistry are used to understand, develop and improve everything from medicine and disease treatment to food, fuels and biological processes. You learn about cells, genes, chemical reactions and the technologies used to study and influence them. It is a field of study for those who want to immerse themselves in natural sciences and would like to understand how research makes a difference in the world.
The world of physics is the field of study for those who want to understand the forces, materials and technologies that characterize our everyday lives – from energy and climate to electronics and modern technology. Here you work with physical phenomena and mathematical models, and you investigate how nature and the technology we surround ourselves with work in practice. It is a field of study for those who are curious, logical thinkers and interested in finding explanations for how the world is connected.
Gametech is the field of study for those who want to work with computer games and interactive digital media – both as a creative expression and as a technical craft. Here you combine design, graphics, programming, sound and storytelling, and you learn to develop ideas, shape visual universes and create your own games and digital solutions. You become part of an environment where gaming, creativity and technology meet across disciplines.
Industrial design is the field of study for those who want to work creatively and solution-oriented with design, form, technology and real-world problems. Here you develop ideas, design products and work on projects where you investigate, sketch, build, test and improve solutions. Here you are allowed to work with your own ideas and develop solutions that arise from real-world problems.
Innovation and Technology is the field of study for those who want to create new solutions, develop products and work with ideas that can make a difference. Here you work project-oriented and creatively to understand people, technologies and needs. You use your professional knowledge to develop ideas that can be tested and further developed in the projects.
Media Design is the study field for those who want to work creatively with images, sound, design and digital storytelling. Here you explore everything from graphic design, animation and 3D modeling to film production and visual communication. You will have access to the school's creative media center, workshops, the Adobe suite and equipment that makes it possible to develop your own projects from idea to finished product.
The Chemistry of Nature is the field of study for those who want to understand how the world is interconnected right down to the chemical and biological level. Here you work research in the laboratory, where you test, measure, compare and analyze everything from food and medicine to biochemical processes in the body and the environment. After three years, the laboratory is a place you feel at home navigating.
Robotics is the field of study for those who want to understand, build and program the technologies of the future. Here you work with mathematics, physics and programming as your most important tools, and you investigate how robots, sensors and artificial intelligence are used in everything from industry and research to everyday technology. You become part of a professional environment where curiosity, immersion and technical understanding play a large role.
The specially designed HTX program is a 4-year program for students who need more time, a fixed framework and a calm learning environment. The study program is targeted at students with ASD or others who are eligible for special educational support (SPS). Here you can take a full science baccalaureate in a structured environment, where the teaching is adapted to your needs, and where there is clear planning, security and clarity in everyday life.
"When you get involved at HTX, you are not just a student – you help shape the school."- Elias, student council president.
