WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?

The purpose of the project is to get more people to complete basic course 2 and to get and maintain an apprenticeship.

Project period: 01.08.2024– 31.12.2025

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?

• Transitional dialogues between student and master between the basic course and the main course in relation to any challenges.

• Support bridge building for master and student with a view to the interaction between the first internship and the education.

• Visit to the apprenticeship site before the internship period

• Visits to various masters in small groups for both internships and apprenticeships

• Specific masonry support for students who need more guidance and time to learn the profession and to solve specific tasks.

• One-on-one conversations between subject teachers and students about general education and belief in one's own abilities

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?

The school monitors the project continuously by comparing the dropouts of the students/apprentices both during basic course 2, in the transition between basic course and main course, and their dropouts from the main course. This is compared with dropouts from previous years. In addition, the transition of basic course 2 students to school education is also followed and compared with previous years.
