More students for hairdressing and cosmetology training

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?

The purpose of "More students for the hairdressing and cosmetology education" is to increase awareness and the number of applicants for the education programs - hairdressing and cosmetology. Techcollege wants to create a broader field of applicants in terms of geography and educational requirements, in order to better serve our masters throughout the region.

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?

Techcollege wants to work with recruiting students for hairdressing and cosmetology programs based on the following activities:

1. Establishment of a steering group – head of education, coordinator for hairdressers and beauticians, two teachers and an AC employee.

2. Identification of new target groups, e.g. students from STX, HHX and EUX in the North Jutland Region, as well as elementary and secondary schools outside Aalborg Municipality.

3. Prepare materials about hairdressing and cosmetology education

4. Build a student body that participates in training days/visits, etc.

5. Participation in training days/visits to schools/educational institutions with 1 teacher from each education and at least one student from the corps.

Work on the level of awareness among masters and students of new apprenticeships with the aim of more masters opening up to taking on new apprentices, and more students choosing to take on new apprenticeships

• 5 HHX/EUX businesses – Thisted, Aars, Hjørring, Frederikshavn and Aalborg.

• 5 elementary schools outside Aalborg Municipality
