WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?
The "Fart på" project aims to develop, test and measure the effectiveness of a material to improve the reading, writing and language skills of VET students. In addition, the aim is also to upgrade the skills of reading tutors and teachers in vocational education through materials such as articles, overviews and didactic guides in methods and the use of models and templates for everyday reading.
WHO IS BEHIND?
Ministry of Education: The Danish Agency for Education and Quality has awarded Absalon University College, the Centre for Vocational Education Lolland and Falster and Techcollege "Distribution funds for teaching 2022" for projects that develop teaching targeted at, among other things, students with dyslexia, adults with dyslexia, inclusion of dyslexics in workshop-based teaching at FGU and vocational education, support for weak readers through digital materials, tools, activities and courses.

THE PROJECT IN NUMBERS
Total project budget: DKK 2,623,847.47.
Techcollege's total budget: DKK 631,956. Of which self-financing: DKK 64,000.
Project period: 01.01.2023 – 31.12.2025
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?
Development of materials such as:
Strengthens students' academic reading and writing
Strengthens the didactic skills of teachers in workshop subjects within reading/writing-integrated subject teaching
Up-skill reading counselors at schools so they can support the workshop teachers' teaching
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?
The entire student group has improved their reading, writing and language skills
The reading tutors and teachers use the qualifications they have acquired through the qualification materials.
