Roads and Choices
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?
The purpose of "Paths and Choices" is to expand the recruitment base for EUD/EUX and use a much more differentiated approach, which is also adapted to new target groups and with a new focus on the indirect target groups - the influencers. This will give completely new groups motivating insight and knowledge about the possibilities with an EUD/EUX, and new stakeholder relationships and best-case inspiration will be created to anchor the efforts. In this way, it is expected that more target groups than before can be reached and thereby increase the uptake of EUD/EUX.
WHO IS BEHIND?
The project is funded by the North Jutland Region, the Education Fund.
WHICH COURSES ARE PARTICIPATING?
All education programs

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?
The following types of activities are planned in the project.
Informational guidance
In the activity, participants are introduced to the many different educational, industry and career opportunities offered by vocational schools. The perspective for target groups is expanded as described previously. Indirect target groups, or "influencers", who exert an indirect but important influence on the educational choice, such as parents, teachers, UU and job centres, are also involved. The information courses are developed to suit the new target groups.
Testing guide:
During the course, participants are given the opportunity (in short and introductory sessions) to try themselves in the classrooms or workshops. The goal of this type of guidance is to enable learning and experience through activities where participants explore both a subject and their own ideas about it.
Misplaced career learning:
The activity aims to give participants practical experience with the specific job functions of vocational education, so that they can better make qualified decisions when they know what is required in different work situations and how they themselves function in these. For this purpose, professional practical courses are "placed" in the locations where the participants are located, at relevant companies or a combination of these.
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?
We expect that the participants in the project have become more aware of EUD/EUX as a possible educational path and that more people will choose a vocational education.
