Team Wellbeing

project-description

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?

The purpose is to focus on preventive efforts and early measures to strengthen attachment, safe learning environments and well-being-promoting initiatives.

WHO IS BEHIND?

The project is funded by the Professional Committee for the Wood Trades and is run by Techcollege.

The project is managed by Techcollege, but has been developed in close collaboration with LUU and SMVaalborg, who – in addition to contributing experience – will assist in the recruitment of apprentices. When the carpentry trailer's visit schedule is published, LUU and SMVaalborg, in collaboration with their member companies, will find apprentices who, together with a teacher and educational guide, will be followed from the vocational school to the school in question.

WHICH COURSES ARE PARTICIPATING?

Our field of expertise: electricity, construction and energy

THE PROJECT IN NUMBERS

Total project budget: DKK 555,000.

Techcollege's total budget: DKK 555,000. Of which self-financing: DKK 166,500.

Project period: April 1, 2024 – April 1, 2026

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?

Future workshop: Through a future workshop with the students at GF1, we will, together with the students, set a framework for the opportunity to work with the students' visions and reflect on them. Specifically, the future workshops consist of three phases: the criticism, idea and realization phase.

Team Well-being: The team must be able to function as a preventive team that visits all newly started classes and conducts a start-up workshop about the culture in a class, talks to the students about what it is like to go to a vocational school and how we create a good community in the class, etc. In addition, they can be used as an emergency team that can step in if there is a class that is experiencing dissatisfaction or high dropout rates.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?

We expect to improve student well-being during the project period and reduce dropouts in GF1, especially the first 10 weeks, and in GF2.
