Arc welding – Edge seams, plate/tube - 40087

This course offers the opportunity to earn a welding certificate !

Goal:

The participants can, based on the requirements, drawings, welding procedure specifications, and oral instructions, independently perform submerged arc welding with covered electrode process 111 of edge seams in sheet metal in material group 1.1 + 1.2 + 1.3 + 1.4 defined in DS/CEN ISO/TR 15608 in the welding positions mentioned below, cf. DS/EN ISO 9606-1 table.

Participants also have theoretical knowledge of factors that are important for the practical application of arc welding (process 111) of edge seams:

• welding methods and equipment

• materials science

• filler materials

• welding sequence and procedure

• welding defects and inspection methods

• joint shapes and formation

• environment/work environment and safety

• certification of welders

• heat treatment

The goal is considered achieved when the participants, based on theoretical knowledge, can perform the following welds:

• FW-PA plate / plate 2-n strings

• FW-PF plate / plate 2-n strings

• FW-PF plate / plate inclined position 2-n strings

• FW-PD plate / plate inclined position 2-n strings

• FW-PG plate / plate 2-n strings

• FW-PD tube/plate 2-n strings

• FW-PB tube/plate 2-n strings

• FW-PB tube/plate rotating 2-n strings

• FW-PH tube / plate 2-n strings

All welding is carried out on the basis of welding procedure specifications prepared according to applicable DS/EN/ISO standards. Or a written welding manual.

Furthermore, based on theoretical and practical experience, participants can perform the mandatory tests described in DS 322, point 4.5, table 1.

The samples must be visually assessed by welding coordinators/examiner.

Target group:

The labour market training is developed for people who want additional skills within process 111 arc welding. Participation requires skills at the level of the course 40086 Light b. weld-edge plate/plate.

According to the Danish Working Environment Authority's executive order on occupational health and safety training, participation in the course requires that participants have a certificate of education from the training course 44530 Occupational health and safety, welding/thermal.

The welding courses are held in an open workshop.

Open workshops are flexible AMU courses offered to both employed and unemployed people. Open workshops mean that

There is the possibility of a flexible start (any day) . The courses run simultaneously at different levels, and the participants are taught individually. The training is completed when the individual participant meets the training goals.
