High-voltage battery technology in electric hybrid vehicles - 49819

Contents:

The participant will learn about safety aspects when working in high-voltage battery packs, on high-voltage components under voltage, including the use of protective equipment and special tools.

Target group:

The training objective is aimed at mechanics or others with similar skills who work with service and repair of vehicles. It is recommended that the participant has already completed and passed the AMU course 42870 Safety handling of electric/hybrid powered vehicles, as well as the AMU course 42871 Electric/hybrid powered vehicles, bodywork and service.

Goal:

The participant gains knowledge of safety aspects when working in a high-voltage battery pack, on high-voltage components under voltage, including the use of protective equipment and special tools. The participant gains in-depth knowledge of built-in safety measures in a HV battery pack. The participant gains knowledge of the structure of the high-voltage battery, as well as knowledge of different battery technologies in Electric/Hybrid vehicles. The participant gains an understanding of the charging strategy of high-voltage batteries and cell balancing in battery modules. The participant can check and assess the internal components of the high-voltage battery with diagnostic testers, and troubleshoot with relevant measuring equipment. The participant can independently replace selected components in a high-voltage battery pack according to the manufacturer's regulations.
