PLC 3 - PLC programming & control: setup

Learn to program modules and scale input signals in a PLC as well as set up controllers.

Course content

  • Knowledge of signal conditioning and scaling of analog and digital signals, including AD converters.

  • Configuration and testing of analog input and output modules in a PLC and in an automatic system with digital communication to the PLC.

  • Connects the modules to various types of transmitters and actuators, e.g. proportional valves and motor controllers.

  • Programming and use of the analog input and output signals in the PLC's mathematical function blocks.

In connection with setting up regulators, this means:

  • The participant can adjust simple control loops.

  • The participant has insight into the principles of control loops, e.g. feedback control.

  • The participant adjusts and optimizes simple control loops with a PLC-PID controller.

  • The participant documents the fluctuation process (trend graph).
