USME Butt, socket and electrowelding

In this course you will learn how to butt, socket and electroweld pipes and piping systems made of plastic materials for the transport and storage of pressureless and environmentally friendly liquids or gases. You will learn about the requirements for certified welding.

Participant prerequisite

To participate in the USME course, you must have a valid welding pass with the endorsement BASIS (B) or PIPE. This ensures that all participants have the necessary basic level to be able to complete the course professionally and safely.

Course content

Performing plastic welding according to the methods: Butt, socket and electric welding of pipes and piping systems made of plastic materials for the transport and storage of pressureless and environmentally friendly liquids or gases.

Socket, sleeve and electrowelded pipe systems for transporting chemicals, liquids or gases under pressure.

Performing a visual assessment of the welds performed, including isolating welds that do not meet the requirements for certificate welding.

Welding passport

Welding passports are issued in accordance with DS 2383 “Certification of plastic welders” and SBC243 “Special provisions for certification”. The certificate is valid for 2 years for the USME endorsement.
