Epoxy Certificate Course

After completing the course “Personal safety when working with epoxy and isocyanates”, the participant will be able to work safely with substances and materials containing epoxy and isocyanates, in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Authority's Executive Order No. 381 of April 12, 2023 .

The participant will be able to work safely with both small and large quantities of epoxy and isocyanates. During the practical part of the training, the participant will work with tasks within product knowledge, the substitution principle, product handling, treatment of accidents and injuries, personal protective equipment and workplace layout.

Once the participant has completed the course, they will:

• be informed about the health risks associated with working with products containing epoxy and isocyanates

• be informed about the substitution principle and any prohibitions on use

• be able to select and use personal protective equipment correctly and – if necessary – other safety measures in accordance with instructions and code number

• be able to ensure that work with substances and materials is carried out in accordance with the regulations until the material has fully hardened and any health risks or harmful effects have ceased

• be able to ensure that people who do not work with the substances and materials are not in the work area where they may be exposed to health risks

• be informed about hygiene precautions and welfare measures

• be informed about the treatment of accidents and injuries and be able to provide first aid in the event of exposure to epoxy and isocyanates and be able to use an emergency shower and eyewash bottle

• be informed about the correct disposal of substances and materials containing epoxy and isocyanates

• be able to ensure that the work area is correctly marked with signs and signals when working with epoxy and isocyanates
