With funding from Interreg ØKS, projects such as Nordfokus can develop vocational education and strengthen the labour market through cooperation between schools, companies and authorities. Nordfokus aims to increase mobility in the labour market by harmonising vocational education and training, improving skills matching and creating stronger cooperation between educational institutions and the business community. The project works to reduce the shortage of qualified labour and strengthen the future workforce in the region. An important part of Nordfokus is to make it easier for students to complete an internship in another Nordic country as part of their vocational education and training. By developing a common internship model, a structured and quality-assured process is created that makes it easier to get cross-border internships and strengthens the international dimension of vocational education and training.
As a partner in Nordfokus, Techcollege receives funding to participate in the collaboration and develop education programs that meet the needs of the future labor market. The result is a more uniform and competitive vocational education that creates better opportunities for both students and employers.
