Turning technique on a conventional lathe - 45180

Goal:

After completing the course you can:

· With knowledge of DS/ISO drawings, select correct process and cutting data and set up and operate a conventional lathe.

· Specifically, clamp items in wooden clamps in hard trays.

· Set tools and perform the turning operations face/longitudinal and shoulder turning, roughing and finishing turning, knurling, drilling with HSS drills, thread cutting with a tap and jaw in a clamping tool, and perform recessing and parting.

· Check and quality-assess the finished items using calipers, micrometer screws and fixed inspection tools.

Target group :

The course is developed for unskilled and skilled workers who have or are looking for work in the metalworking industry.

The machine courses are held in the Open Workshop.
Open workshops are flexible AMU courses offered to both employed and unemployed people. Open workshops mean that
There is the possibility of a flexible start ( starting on Mondays ). The courses run simultaneously at different levels, and the students are taught individually.
