Green transport in practice
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT?
The purpose of the project is to develop and test teaching courses with green transition as a starting point within passenger and truck mechanic education.
The project builds a bridge to two other projects at TECHCOLLEGE which are frontrunners for this project: 1) investment in new equipment, 2) targeted teacher training and 3) development and testing of new teaching courses. Together, the projects aim to develop a green, practice-oriented and technological update of teaching in both passenger and truck mechanic education.
Specifically, this project contributes to the development and testing of new teaching courses. Based on the new equipment and the new competencies, teachers will develop and test specific teaching courses.
The passenger car mechanic training program has developed courses on the repair and sustainable handling of batteries, including assessment of raw material savings and CO₂ reduction.
The truck mechanic training program has developed a simulation-based course on high-voltage safety and troubleshooting, linked to authentic cases from practice.
The courses are tested both in the main course and as an inspiration model and for the development and further development of AMU courses.
This holistic approach ensures that teachers are professionally and pedagogically equipped, through company internships, cases and co-teaching, to teach the green transition. Students will be taught with and in the latest technology in a safe and learning-promoting environment. Knowledge and practice are integrated, so that TECHCOLLEGE increases its contribution to the industry's green competence boost and the national transition.

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PART OF THE PROJECT?
The project includes the following activities:
Pre-study of companies' competence needs – special focus on AMU
Knowledge presentations, study tours, company internships, etc.
Competence development course in co-teaching for subject teachers
Development of teaching courses for main courses and AMU courses
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT?
Overall, we expect to achieve the following results with the project:
Competence development within co-teaching and implementation of co-teaching in the everyday life and practice of subject teachers.
Development of teaching courses in connection with the purchase of new equipment and competence development of vocational skills.
