In order to meet the requirement for special training described in AT Executive Order No. 381 of April 12, 2023, the training course must ensure that participants, regardless of their professional relationship, are able to deal with both small and large quantities of epoxy, resins and isocyanates.

The training is conducted as a mixed course with equal parts theory and practical tasks.

In the theoretical part, special emphasis is placed on, among other things, instructions for use/safety data sheets, codes and health risks.

The practical part must include practical exercises in product knowledge/substitution product handling, accident and claim handling, personal protective equipment and workplace design.

Participants working with epoxy and isocyanates are subject to special prohibitions according to AT Executive Order 381, Appendix 3.

The ban reads as follows:

People who have eczema or a confirmed epoxy allergy must not work with epoxy-containing materials.

People who suffer from asthma or eczema, as well as people who have confirmed lung diseases or confirmed skin and respiratory allergies to isocyanates, must not work with materials containing isocyanates.

People with excessive hand sweating (hyperhidrosis manuum) must not work with materials containing either epoxy or isocyanate.
