Apprenticeship and school training
Your apprenticeship is the next step
An apprenticeship is an important part of your vocational training and the natural next step after the basic course.
This is where you become part of a company, work with skilled colleagues and take on responsibility in everyday life. You gain experience, insight into the industry and develop in your chosen profession.
The goal is for you to make a training agreement with a company. This is the agreement that makes you an apprentice and gives you access to the main course.

School training when you need an apprenticeship
If you do not have an apprenticeship when you start the main course, you can continue your education in school training.
School training allows you to stick to your course while you continue your search.
Here you work with tasks that are similar to those you would encounter in a company. You continue to work on your subject and develop your skills, while continuing to look for an apprenticeship.
When you are in school training, we also help you with:
Sparring on application and CV
Preparing for interviews
Overview of companies
Planning your further search
You must continue to actively search and be open to opportunities – both geographically and professionally – but we will support you every step of the way.
School training is a real opportunity to continue your education if you temporarily lack an apprenticeship.
What you need to know if you don't have an apprenticeship yet
When you complete the basic course, you must have an apprenticeship to start the main course.
If you have not yet made an education agreement, there is a transition period of up to one month. During this period, you are not affiliated with the school and do not receive any benefits or SU. This is called a waiting period. During this period, you must actively apply for an apprenticeship and document your application at lærepladsen.dk .
If you do not have an apprenticeship after the waiting period, you may in some cases be admitted to school training. This requires that you meet the EMMA criteria .
It may seem like a lot to keep track of, but you're not alone.
We recommend that you contact us well in advance so that we can review the requirements together and ensure that you are well prepared. If you have any questions about the process, documentation or your profile, we are ready to help you further.
If your situation changes
Agreements may change along the way. Should your apprenticeship end, it is important that you contact us as soon as possible, and no later than within a week.
The earlier we talk, the faster we can find the right solution so you can continue your education without unnecessary interruptions.
