External/internal taper turning - 45183

Goal :

After completing the training, DS/ISO drawings and their own operation plan, participants can perform external/internal taper turning in steel and metals on a conventional lathe.

Participants can clamp workpieces in three-claws in hard and soft jaws, align the tailstock, set up and adjust turning tools, calculate the setting angle and tailstock offset for taper turning, and perform the turning operations face/longitudinal and shoulder turning, roughing and finishing turning, boring tasks, external taper turning with offset tailstock, and external/internal taper turning with an inclined continuation slide.

Participants can use these processes to produce parts that meet high tolerance requirements. This is done on the basis of knowledge of the factors (cutting forces, material stresses and temperature) that influence the turning process.

In addition, participants can check and quality-assess the finished items with geometric tolerances (roundness and runout) and according to DS 806 - 807.

Target group:

People who have or are looking for work in the metalworking industry.

The machine courses are held in the Open Workshop.

Open workshops are flexible AMU courses offered to both employed and unemployed people. Open workshops mean that

There is the possibility of a flexible start (starting on Mondays). The courses run simultaneously at different levels, and the students are taught individually.
